Letters to Santa at the Downtown Library!
Come join the holiday cheer! Downtown Arlington, in collaboration with the Arlington Public Library and the United States Postal Service, invites your family to a truly magical event.
This year, the holiday tradition will be located at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library!
Hand-Deliver Your Letter to Santa
The highlight of the season is your chance to hand-deliver your letter directly to Santa Claus himself during Downtown Arlington's December First Thursdays!
- Date: Thursday, December 4th
- Time: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Location: George W. Hawkes Downtown Library
Kids can come write their letter right here at the Library and hand-deliver it to the man in red. After your meeting, enjoy the walkable Downtown district during First Thursdays to support local businesses and enjoy free artistic experiences for the whole family.
Extended Letter Drop-Off & Operation Santa
Even if you can’t make it on December 4th, the holiday spirit continues!
Starting November 17th, children can come to the Downtown Library to write their letter and drop it off in the official Operation Santa mailbox. Letters must be postmarked by December 6th to be eligible for the USPS Operation Santa campaign, a wonderful initiative that connects children’s wishes with generous families looking to spread holiday joy.
It’s an opportunity for children to share their holiday wishes and for families to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Join us as we celebrate the magic of the season!
