Calling all canine connoisseurs and tail-wagging enthusiasts!

The Dog Days of Summer are upon us, and Arlington is about to become a whole lot more paw-some!

Join us for a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the first official dig towards making the Doggie Depot Dog Park a reality! Witness the ceremonial dirt-flying as we break ground on this exciting new pup paradise in Downtown Arlington. We'll hear a word from Mayor Jim Ross, Chair of the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, and Tom Read of the General Motors Arlington Assembly. The event is open to all pups and people of the public.

After we've christened the future park with a shovel (or two!), head over to Grease Monkey Burgers for a Yappy Hour Social & Fundraiser.

Here's the tail-wagging rundown:

• Groundbreaking Ceremony: Grab your furry friend and join us as we officially mark the beginning of the Doggie Depot Dog Park at 4pm. The Doggie Depot is in the green space north of the Municipal Office Tower at 101 S Mesquite St, Arlington, TX 76010.
• Yappy Hour at Grease Monkey Burgers: Following the Groundbreaking, head on over to Grease Monkey Burgers. Mingle with fellow dog lovers, enjoy live music, & quench your thirst with paw-some themed-drink specials. Dogs welcome on patio and outside around Grease Monkey.
• Fundraising Frenzy: Help us raise the woof with a raffle and silent auction – every penny goes towards making the Doggie Depot the best dog park ever!
• Dine for Doggos: Grease Monkey Burger Shop will be matching a portion of their sales during the Yappy Hour to the Doggie Depot cause. So come hungry, have a blast, and help build a fur-tastic future for our four-legged friends!
