Downtown Impressions: A Community Plein Air Experience

Join us for a series of Plein Air Sessions in various downtown scenes!

Happening this spring from March to June. In these outdoor painting sessions, you'll have the opportunity to capture the energy and beauty of the city as it awakens from its winter slumber. Plein air painting is the art of freeing oneself from the traditional boundaries of a regular art studio, taking your canvas outside, and painting what you see all around you.

Led by experienced plein air artists, these sessions are open to painters of all skill levels. Each session will focus on a different downtown scene, from bustling streets to quiet parks, allowing you to explore the unique character of the city.

Bring your own supplies or rent a kit from us provided by Catalyst Creative Arts, and get ready to create your own masterpiece in the heart of the city. You'll have the chance to meet and mingle with other artists, and even sell your artwork at a group exhibition at the end of the series at Create Arlington.

Paint kits include:
1 Canvas
1 Paint tube of each: black, white, pt blue, pt green, yellow, red, b sienna
2 Paint brushes

Plein Air sessions are free, but we do ask that you register in advance.
