Blood, Sweat & Tears is not the first band to ever use a horn section, but they are the first to fuse it with rock, jazz, and some blues thrown in for good measure!
Their best-known second album, self-named “Blood Sweat & Tears,” yielded three top 5 singles and received the Grammy Award for “Album of the Year” in 1970, beating out the Beatles’ “Abby Road.” That album went on to earn quadruple Platinum status with sales well over 4 million units.
Blood Sweat & Tears ultimately received 10 Grammy nominations and won 3. Other prestigious awards and recognitions include The Playboy Jazz & Pop award, the “Blood, Sweat & Tears” 1969 album induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002, and in 2008 the band was recognized as an Honorary Ambassador of Peace Republic of Korea.

About Arlington Music Hall
The Arlington Music Hall has a rich history and always been the place to go for entertainment. AMH opened in 1950 in as a movie theater, then transformed into a live music venue that helped launch the careers of superstars including LeAnn Rimes, Lee Ann Womack, Shoji Tabuchi, Blake Shelton, Gary Morris, Box Car Willie, Wanda Jackson, Kitty Wells, and many others.
Today, the original marquee and a displayed remnant of the original curtain are tributes to the history of this great venue. A non-profit 501c3 promotes the concerts and brings top artist to Arlington year-round. Recent renovations to sound, stage and seating make the Music Hall a comfortable place to enjoy a high quality listening experience.
