The Arlington Public Library will commemorate Black History Month with a series of programs that celebrate the history and culture of African Americans, including two events at the Downtown Library. 

A Black History Month Panel Discussion on STEM Careers with Black Professionals & Students
Downtown Library, 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3
Join a conversation with Black STEM professionals and scholars. This panel will discuss their educational journeys, their current challenges, and their successes in order to encourage the next generation to follow in their footsteps.

Community Talks: Reading Jay-Z with Dr. Kenton Rambsy
Downtown Library, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9
Join a talk with Dr. Kenton Rambsy on Jay-Z, diversity, and inclusion. Dr. Rambsy is a professor at The University of Texas at Arlington and teaches a course on reading Jay-Z lyrics as poetry.
