Mavericks' Guide to Getting Around Downtown
Welcome home, Mavericks! We can’t wait to see you back in the neighborhood, and with your Welcome Week events starting next Monday, it won't be much longer.
We're so excited to show you all that Downtown Arlington has to offer. Your college town-within-the-city is bursting with new and coming-soon retail, restaurant, entertainment and residential options for you to explore, which also means that you'll see some construction crews when you return. Here are some tips for easily getting to and around Downtown.
Abram St. Revitalization
By Spring 2020, construction along Abram St will be complete, transforming our “main street” into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly focal point. In the meantime, businesses along Abram are open and traffic flows both ways. Track #myAbram on social media for the latest information about traffic routing, temporary parking and construction milestones. myAbram.com
Back-In Angle Parking
As Downtown becomes more pedestrian and bike-friendly, you'll see more and more reverse or “back-in” angle parking spaces. Right now, back-in angle parking is now available in along Center and Mesquite streets around the 101 Center development. Learn more on our website.
