All aboard PinnStation Coworking in Downtown Arlington

Coworking isn’t just about sharing a desk. Coworking is about sharing ideas, talent, resources and enthusiasm. This is a tenant of PinnStation Coworking, a blossoming innovation hub in Downtown Arlington.

With a background in software development and in nurturing new software companies, Bob Johnson, CEO and president of Pinnacle Corporation and the founder of PinnStation Coworking, hopes to stimulate similar start-ups in Downtown Arlington.

“The primary vision for PinnStation Coworking is to foster the development of small business,” said Johnson. “Our goal is to create 1,000 new jobs in Downtown Arlington over the next 5 years, generated from companies that have been assisted by their time at PinnStation.”

With its recent expansion and remodel, PinnStation’s engine is revving and raring to go.

More space, more options

Located in the Pinnacle building at 201 E. Abram Street, the original PinnStation occupies a 1,100 sq. foot corner office which includes a large common work space, a private office, a conference room and a small kitchen.

PinnStation Incubator

In the past several months, the footprint and potential of PinnStation have grown dramatically. The all-new PinnStation Incubator adds 4,500 additional sq. feet to the enterprise, including a variety of shared and private working areas and 13 private offices.

Designed with start-ups and small companies in mind, PinnStation Coworking’s pricing structure offers

something for everyone. Individual memberships are only $200 per month and include a wide variety of benefits. Members get reserved parking, free coffee/tea and wifi access. A full-sized kitchen and two conference rooms are located within the Incubator space, and members also enjoy access to several other large conference rooms and a training facility located in the Pinnacle building. Incremental improvements, including new A/C, will continue through 2018.

“With common space for gathering right outside the offices,” said Johnson, “we’re hoping that the companies within the PinnStation Incubator will network and gain valuable knowledge from each other.”

PinnStation Coworking is within easy walking distance of Downtown hot spots including restaurants, bars, retail, residential communities, the new Downtown Arlington Library and the UT Arlington campus.

Throughout October, PinnStation is offering $50 off the first month on all new monthly memberships. Daily and 10-day memberships are also available. Visit the website for details or to schedule a tour.

Building the PinnStation community

PinnStation Coworking is already attracting new members. SCORE DFW/Apple Capital, NOA Bros., and the creative team developing Live Oak and Lester’s are working out of PinnStation.

The first Incubator client, Campus Glue, is a model that Bob Johnson is eager to repeat. Co-founded by UTA student Oluwatoba Toye-Abdul, Campus Glue is an educational networking app that connects college students with classmates and other people on their campus.

“The talent that exists within the staff, faculty and student body at UTA is an amazing resource for Arlington,” said Johnson. “At PinnStation, we hope to provide an environment where creative people like these can develop their dreams right here in Downtown. And of course, we hope they’ll stay and put down roots here in our developing ‘live, work and play’ environment!”
